2018 Event Recap

We could not have been more thrilled with the success of our first ever Compile KC weekend!

Wow, it went far beyond our expectations. From a simple idea to execution, every nonprofit that participated was able to walk away with much needed services and work that they were unable to get funding or resources for.

We were able to help 5 nonprofit organizations

On Eagles Wings Farm

The impact made on the nonprofits was tremendous

I can not thank you you enough for this fantastic opportunity. Lead to Read KC is a very small organization with a few part time employees. We have grown so much over the past seven years that we can barely keep up with the day to day work of managing over 1,000 volunteers paired with over 1,000 students.

Lead to Read KC will now be able to reach more community volunteers through our website, social media and our new collateral materials. Enabling us to serve more children with their very own adult reading mentor. We are so grateful to have been a part of this fabulous weekend.
— Hayley Rees, Lead to Read KC
The Compile KC event provided us an opportunity to have our website redesigned. Our website was pretty much from the dinosaur era and now resembles a website of the 21st Century! Thank you!  We are excited that it will hopefully attract more individuals with myasthenia gravis to our website for resources as well as share our news and events for awareness and an option for donating.  Our budget did not allow for the expense of having our website redesigned nor do not have manpower or knowledge for this task. Compile KC made it possible.

We got great feedback from the 26 local participants

I really enjoyed the opportunity to meet other developers and people in the non-profit sphere. I thought there was a wide variety of projects and the groups seemed to be well matched with people and projects. The event space was really cool. And Cody and John were great organizers. I was really impressed with how good the food was and the amount of raffle stuff. Overall, it was more than I could have hoped it to me and it gave me a warm, fuzzy feeling for being able to help someone who really benefited from it.
I loved the space and I loved that all the non-profits were local to KC helping local KC people.
Very well thought of and organized.

None of this would have been possible without the support of these incredible companies!
