What is Compile KC?
Compile KC is a 3-day event that pairs local Kansas City nonprofits with tech, design and marketing professionals for a weekend of fun and giving back. In one weekend we aim to give our selected nonprofits a new web site, updates to an existing web site, small online applications, branding, marketing, social media engagement or storytelling and brand awareness.
Nonprofits often do not have the funds to get these types of services, while tech, design and marketing professionals may not volunteer for charity work because the needs are not adequately publicized.
Is Compile KC only for Developers?
No way! We want developers, designers, business analysts, project managers, SEO experts, branding/marketing experts so we can have a robust team that can work together to makes things happen!
What can I expect if I attend?
We want to make this weekend as fun and inspiring as possible. We’ll take care of all your traditional needs (food, beverages, occasional high-fives) so you can focus on what you do best!

Do I have to stay the whole time?
We break every night at 12:00 A.M. and regroup at 7:00 A.M.
We understand this is a big commitment. You are not required to stay the entire 7:00 A.M. through 12:00 A.M. open door schedule. However, the more time you can commit, the greater it will improve the experience for you, your fellow teammates and the nonprofits we are helping out. Amazing ideas and great teams fall apart when people don’t show up and the remaining members are left to complete the process. This event is all about donating your time and talent to give back to your local community.
Each participant will be a part of a team for a nonprofit. We expect each of these teams to self manage and communicate when they'll be at the event space.
How much does it cost?
This event is FREE! All meals are included. We rely solely on the generosity of our sponsors to make this event possible.
Volunteer registration will be available early 2019.

Directions and Parking Instructions
Plexpod Crossroads is located at 1712 Main Street, Kansas City, MO 64108. The building is on the southwest corner of 17th and Main Street, across from Ruins Pub. Enter through the door located on Main Street marked “Plexpod”. Take the stairs to the 2nd floor. Please sign in at the top of the stairs at the coffee bar. Ramp access is available on the northwest side (back) of the building. There is free 3-hour street parking is available directly in front of the building on Main Street or nearby on Baltimore Avenue.
The KC Streetcar line runs directly in front of the building on Main Street with the closest stop being “Kauffman Center” at 16th street.
Park anywhere along the streetcar line and ride to Plexpod Crossroads!
